It took me a while, but my post-race post is here.
What a day April 28th turned out to be!
Race start time was 8:30 and I was super excited to have my partner Christine and out two children come down to the race with me.
The race took place on an island located between Montreal’s downtown and the south shore of the St-Laurent river where many commuters live.
We decided to take public transit and were pleased to see we weren’t alone.
Once at the race site, it was quite impressive. Thousands of racers warming up and grabbing some free water bottles or gatorade.
The race itself went very well. I bested my previous race’s time and was very happy with my last kilometer in particular.
I was lucky to have Christine and the kids there as they were able to capture me crossing the finish line!
Once across the finish line I collected my finisher’s medal. This was awesome as it was the first one I had received.
We walked around a bit, took some pictures and decided to stick around to watch the start of the half marathon.
There was a playground on site and we played until we could catch the end of the half.
Wonderful day.
That’s just awesome! So happy for you!
Thanks sis!
